Small Confession...

Okay...this is my last post about antlers...I promise. But, in one of my previous post I had taken a picture of my apartment featuring antlers. Well, at the time I didn't have any so I just simply photoshoped them in...Whoops. Don't worry I fixed the problem and now have my own...hung just where I want them. It helps bring a more masculine feel to the space.

Bonnie's Antiques...

This is the story of the old stone house and wonderful lady that made me fall in love with everything vintage. Her name is Bonnie and I have to visit her antique store every time I make a trip home to my parents. Bonnie's mother traveled all over the world collecting antiques. Her mother gave her the antique store before she passed. Beautiful crystal and venetian chandeliers cover the ceiling and antiques are piled high from floor to ceiling.Vintage clothes are draping over doors and chairs while jewelry is tucked away in old hutches. Fur coats and hats are stuffed everywhere. You can find needlepoint purses, sequined dresses, everything lace and more... I found my Christian Dior suit at Bonnie's hanging on a crowded rack in the corner. You have to have time and be willing to look before you enter to find the greatest treasures.

Silver tea sets, trays and dishes are crowding the tables.
The ceilings are covered in vintage chandeliers...Many are from Italy and France.
Oh Bonnie...I can't wait to see you again!

Hurry up Summer...

Lately, I have been itching for fresh summer vegetables... I decided to make one of my favorite summer dishes in hopes it would bring me back to the warm weather. Basil, tomato, red onion, mozzarella, olives, oil and vinegar makes for a perfect side dish. So Easy!!

Antlers...

Lately, I have had a secret obsession with antlers (fake or real). The obsession began because our apartment in Brooklyn is very feminine... so we felt that antlers brought a more masculine feel to the space. Here are a few of my favorites...

Letting the light in...

The winter can be so depressing...especially in New York. We have to take what we can when the sun is shining. The above picture is of our apartment in Brooklyn Heights. These windows have saved us from our winter blues.
